Portable Sundial Class Top Display Case
Our portable sundial is a beautiful reproduction of the original, featuring an internal compass. The sundial itself is made of brass & folds down to fit into a hardwood timber presentation box. This is reminiscent of the sundials used by explorers & travellers of the past. The internal magnetic compass is used to orient the sundial to the north. The gnomon is set to the correct latitude by using the sliding scale. The gnomon then casts a shadow that marks the local time.
